Dies geschieht in vier

Saturday Aug. 1 at 2.30 PM course begins with Dorje Phurpa empowerment.

Palden AtishaTeachings
Tenga Rinpoche will continue this year’s teachings out of the “100 Short Dharma Instructions” (chos chung brgya tsha) composed by Jowo-je Palden Atisha. This is a collection of short instructions which Atisha addressed at various occasions openly to big assemblies, as well as privately to only a few disciples.
During teachings and empowerments there will be translations into English and German.
Daily schedule during summer course:
7.00 AM:    Tara Puja
10.00 AM:  Teachings
2.30 PM:     Teachings
5.00 PM:     Mahakala Puja
8.00 PM:     Chenrezig Puja

From December 27, 2008 until August 10, 2009 we will perform the recitation of 10,000,000 White Tara mantras for the long life of Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche and for the spreading of Rinpoche's activity for the benefit of all sentient beings.

As Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche states: "You should practice White Tara for yourself and for your Guru. Some centers organize accumulations of many thousands of mantras. Every practitioner marks the number of the mantras he recited on a piece of paper. After accumulating 100 000 mantras he gives his list back to the center and the mantras are counted together. You should do that!" (cit. from: Feast of Joy - Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche's Jorney to Tibet 2005, DVD, published 2008 by One Shot Production)

Every student of Rinpoche is invited to join this recitation. You can either recite the ten syllable root mantra or the longer White Tara mantra.

As soon as you have accomplished 10,000 or more White Tara Mantras, please, send your number of White Tara mantras.

We will frequently update the total amount of already accumulated White Tara mantras:

Lord Buddha turned the wheel of dharma three times, with the second turning revealing the true nature of all things, Prajnaparamita, of which Chö is a means to practice and realize this.

The teachings on true nature were what the great siddhas of India practiced and passed on through their different traditions. The supreme Tibetan female master and saint Machik Lapdron, prophesized by the Buddha as an emanation of the Great Mother Prajnaparamita, received these transmissions from many siddhas and formulated them into what we know as Chö, which means to “cut” or “severe.” What is cut is ego grasping, the root of our suffering, through the realization of our true nature, which is the essence of all the Buddha’s teachings.
Khabje Tenga Rinpoche, for many years the vajra master of Rumtek Monastery, is one of the few living meditation masters who hold the unbroken lineage of the Karma Kagyu Tradition.
